Misunderstandings

So, I'm reading a J2 fanfic to get a feel for it, and my hubby looks over at the screen and says, "You know what's fucked up?"

"What?"

"I look at that, and all I can see is genetics." I peer at his pointing finger and figure out it's the header for the story. The one with rating and pairing info.

"Well honey, that is fucked up, because that is a header. All those letters means blah blah."

He peers at the screen for a moment and then nods sagely. "I still look at it and want to genetically combine them."

Unbidden from my mouth, "Yes, well, so do most of the fans but it doesn't make it feasible."

I am incapable of explaining to him why I laughed for the next two minutes.
