Title: A Ghost in Your Garden
Author:
dimelioraFandom: CW RPF
Wordcount: 42,647
Rating: NC-17
Pairing(s): Jared/Jensen, Matt Cohen/Jensen Ackles
(briefly and non-sexually), Aldis/Chris
Genre: Horror Romcom
Warning(s): This contains mentions of off-screen death, violence, graphic sex between men, the most hilarious misappropriation of season one of
American Horror Story you will probably ever see (so ghosts of a sort although physics applies to them differently), and a complete lack of respect for the integrity of realtors.
Beta(s): The infinitely patient and sweet
sammichgirl who will read just about anything for me at this point, and peripherally
clex_monkie89 who doesn't forgive plot holes. Or word that nicely.
Summary: A very loosely based AU of Season One of
American Horror Story, Romcom style. Jensen has suffered an accident, and moves into a new home as a form of occupational and geographical therapy. He's surprised on arrival to find that his house is haunted and that his relationship is more damaged than he imagined. Luckily his new neighbor Jared is there to help him deal with the mysteries of his new home, and pick up the pieces of his broken life
Notes: This was very nearly entitled "Jeremy Messersmith Wrote About This". Along with six other things. I cannot believe this got finished, and if it seems rushed then I am sorry but life was not kind during this process. Not kind at all. Thanks, as almost always are the case, to
sammichgirl and
clex_monkie89 who held my hand as this refused first to just
be, then to plot, and eventually to stop plotting. Also to
nyxocity who was very kind about listening as I screamed helplessly into the void about my inability to make this a thing amidst what has been a catastrophic series of life-changes. I'm going to include a soundtrack here, and sorry ahead of time for that. It's up to you if you listen to it of course, but I did on repeat for about three months. If you've seen the show you may or may not know where I started on this, but I found very early on that I was unable to follow the formula I had originally planned. In fact this became a wholly different thing very quickly, and for that I apologize. Heartily. Also, a big thanks to the lovely ladies of Chat who warred me halfway through this and then didn't see me for months at a time.
